Description
The Combi from Truma is a completely self-enclosed system for central warm air heating alongside providing hot water for your leisure vehicle, be it a Camper Van, PVC Motorhome or Boat.
It can run off Gas, ideal for when you haven’t got electric hook up or 240V Electric or for when connected to the shoreline. The benefit to the duel fuel means you can use this one system for all your heating requirements. Additionally if you need that additional boost in severe cold weather – or you just want to heat the water in a hurry it can run off both together! This is called its Boost Function.
It is available in differing heat outputs, 2 and 4kw, (TRUMA 2E or 4E) this refers to the gas heating output. The electric side of the heater is consistent through all the models. Electric heating gives the user the option to select between a 900 or 1800Watts. This is important when camping where there is a smaller power supply like 6 or 10 amps. (common place in Europe) So that you don’t trip the hook up point, you can select the lower setting. The Heater’s dimensions are consistent despite the different heat outputs. Please see our documents TAB for the full installation Manual to help you plan your install. Smaller units consume less gas, although the electrical current requirements are equal throughout the range.
We supply the Heater as standard with Push Fit Type Connections to your pipework. Commonly known as ‘Speed fit@ or ‘John Guest’ If you want just hosetails or BSP thread adapters are easily available.
It is compact, often installed below seating saving both weight and space compared to fitting individual systems. TRUMA supply most major manufacturers of Caravans and Motorhomes, so you are fitting what is used and trusted by OEM’s
All of our Combi Units are supplied complete with the latest CP (Control Panel) with a 6-metre cable extension allowing you to place the control unit in a convenient place.
The controls are simple (instructions in our documents TAB) and allow full options to include running the heating on gas or electric. You can also run both alongside each other offer a boost function. This means the 2E can offer nearly 3900W of heating power. It is of course possible to heat the water without the warm air heating being on.
The heater has four air outlets so the warm air flows into the vehicle’s interior, distributed optimally to ensure warmth where you require it! The Combi heater is almost silent and very economical to run. The temperature in the vehicle is infinitely adjustable with a digital control panel.
The Truma offers extensive protection systems to include things like the frost protection system. If there is a danger of the water heater contents freezing it will automatically open a valve to drain the boiler tank.
As you would expect, full appliance instructions are supplied with the Unit explaining all the controls etc.
