TentBox Side Awning - For All TentBox Models

The robust and waterproof TentBox Side Awning is a great addition to your camping area.  There are several components so you can customise your awning area to suit your preferences.

First:  The Side Awning – this comes in 2 models.  The Universal version can be used with any car and any TentBox as it mounts to your roof bars.  The strong brackets secure the Side Awning onto either your roof bar’s cross rails or the side rails on the roof of your car.  The Cargo version comes with specially designed brackets that slide into the accessory rail that’s built in around your Cargo TentBox.  Once installed with either type of brackets the set is the same from now on.  You unzip the awning out of its bag, unfurl it, prop it up with the included extendable poles extend the horizontal support bars, and then peg it out.  All done in a few minutes.  The support legs extend up to 2.4m, giving lots of head room for even the tallest of campers.  For more information about the mounting brackets, and how the awning fits onto your vehicle see the “TentBox Side Awning Installation Guide” in the “Documents” section below.

If that isn’t enough shelter for you, then perhaps you want to add the TentBox Side Awning Wall?  The Wall is compatible with all versions of the Side Awning (Universal & Cargo) and comes in 2 heights.  Regular is for vehicles up to 1.7m and Tall for vehicles up to 2.2m*.  The Side Awning Wall gives extra protection from rain, wind and sun. Installation is quick – simply thread the wall into the rail on your TentBox Side Awning and then peg it to the ground.

For the ultimate in 360 degree projection you can turn your Side Awning into a spacious room, by adding the Side Awning Room. The Room is compatible with all versions of the Side Awning (Universal & Cargo) and comes in 2 heights.  Regular is for vehicles up to 1.7m and Tall for vehicles up to 2.2m*.  The extra panels are easy to attach to your awning.  The front and back panels thread into the rail in your awning, and the sides clip to the awning support poles.  You will be all set up in 2-5 minutes.  There are several ways you can use the Awning Room.  Keep the doors down to create an enclosed weatherproof room, or roll them up to create an airy chill spot. For even more flexibility, use an extra set of the TentBox Telescopic Props to enter “wing mode” and create a massive shelter (extra props are an optional extra). The rear wall of the Room unzips so you can still access the side doors of your car, which is handy.  The Room comes with fly screens inside the doors, a hanging pocket system with 4 mesh pockets to store gear, plus a ground sheet to keep your feet dry!

*Note on vehicle heights : The Side Awning Wall and Side Awning Room both come in two height options:  Regular (up to 1.7m) suitable for most cars and Tall (up to 2.2m) suitable for vans and trucks.  To find out your vehicle height: either check on line or measure your vehicle from the top of your roof bars to the ground.  NB It is not a good idea to buy the Tall version ‘just in case’ as there will be a lot of excess fabric.*
