TentBox Living Pod - For Lite 2.0, Lite XL, Classic 2.0 & Cargo 2.0

TentBox’s are perfect for impromptu, carefree camping, they allow you the freedom to change your campsite every day, as your TentBox only takes minutes to put up.  However, when you want to stay in one place for a bit longer, having a large, dry extension to your TentBox comes in handy.  TentBox have designed the Living Pod so you can quickly create a sheltered area alongside your car.  The Living Pod joins your car and TentBox together, to create three distinct areas.  You have storage space in the car, an outdoor living area protected from the elements in the Living Pod and a penthouse bedroom!

As each model of TentBox is carefully designed, so is the Living Pod that goes with it.  The different versions of the Living Pods specifically fit each model of TentBox.  For the Lite 2.0, Lite XL & Classic 2.0 the Living Pod simply clips onto hooks already built into your main TentBox.  For the Cargo 2.0 the awning zips into the TentBox just under the roof, and is secured with screw in nuts that hold the pod to the Cargo 2.0’s accessory rail.  Once attached to the TentBox the set up is similar for all the versions.  The Living Pod kit includes two telescopic prop poles, tent poles, guy ropes & pegs.  So once you have unfurled the waterproof fabric, you just slide a couple of tent poles in to form the roof shape, then prop it up at the front with the telescopic poles.  Finally you attach the guy ropes and peg out the sides.  All done in a few minutes.  When you pack the Living Pod away it goes neatly into a storage bag that easily fits into your car boot, ready for next time.

The Living Pods all come in two height versions:  Regular for vehicles up to 1.9m high and Tall which is for larger vehicles up to 2.3m high.  It’s important to choose the correct size for your vehicle, see the notes below about how to check your vehicle height.*  The strong straps around the bottom of the pod are adjustable so you can tension up the walls to create a strong shelter.  Each Living Pod also comes with a groundsheet, so your finished pod is a dry and clean room.

The Living Pods all have a window in either the wall or roof panel.  They are in different positions for each variation, but give you natural light and a view out.   In dry weather you can set the Living Pod up in “wing mode” to create a large covered area.  This is easily done by propping up one, two or three of the side panels with extra telescopic poles (extra poles not included).  Perfect for party time and sharing your TentBox space with your fellow campers.

Having a large dry room immediately outside your front door gives you immediate shelter, a bit of privacy and space to mark your pitch out.  The ladder is covered by the Living Pod too.  This is a great benefit, as if it’s been wet overnight, the rungs will be kept dry.  So no soggy socks when you get out for your morning brew!  The Living Pod is made from the same strong fabric that the Lite’s flysheets are made from.  It is a quality 610D polyester with a waterproof rating of 5000mm.  So you are protected from even the heaviest of rain showers.

*Note on vehicle heights : The Living Pods all come in two height options:  Regular (up to 1.9m) suitable for most cars and Tall (up to 2.3m) suitable for vans and trucks.  To find out your vehicle height: either check on line or measure your vehicle from the top of your roof bars to the ground.  NB It is not a good idea to buy the Tall version ‘just in case’ as there will be a lot of excess fabric.*
