Folding Campervan Tap - Comet Arona

We have chosen to supply taps made by Comet because of their reputation for reliability, coupled with an understanding of what the mobile home requires.

The Comet Arona is a modern chromed lightweight tap. It feels quality, with a smooth resistance to all moving parts such as the tap spout rotation and folding mechanisms.

CamperHappy.co.uk specifically chose to supply the Arona due to the modern black / chrome colourways. It looks great! The internal ceramic valve is a serviceable part in the event of a dripping tap. The aerator on the spout is removable for cleaning.

The tap spout rotates north to south a full 270 degrees and will stay exactly where you place it without dropping. The control lever to the right of the spout turns the tap on with a barely audible click to indicate the micro switch has engaged.

The cold only Arona has a hosetail to suit either 8 or 10mm I.D. flexible water pipe. We sell this in our plumbing section.

Because these taps are fitted with an integrated micro switch you will find 2 small wires to the underside of the tap. These can be wired to interrupt the power supply to your submersible water pump. They are very easy to wire in and a quick search through YouTube will throw up a multitude of easy step by step videos you can follow. They will also work fine with a pressurised system where the pump is a stand-alone unit that turns on as soon as a top is opened. The tap manufacturer, Comet advises the tap will work safely with pressures up to 3 bar, water up to 65°C.
