FAWO Main City Water connection for Motorhomes / Caravans

Fitment of mains water connections is becoming increasing popular with high end caravan and motorhome manufactures due to the rise of fully serviced pitches. This means you can save weight by travelling with empty water tanks and save time on site when setting up. You simply connect to the local water supply using a standard ‘Hoselock’ type connector. Many people use a flat food grade blue hose or we sell the Brunner roll on 2.0 which is a cassette type hose reel.

This water inlet comes complete with a brass NRV (non return valve) and a hose tail to the rear to connect to your vehicle plumbing. This valve also reduces the pressure down to 1.1 BAR, considered safe for use with your on-board plumbing system. These can be plumbed into existing water systems by creating a connection after the the water pump. You will also need a simple non-return valve or shut off valve to prevent the onboard tank from back filling. Whilst the city water connection is connected you would have your onboard water pump turned off. We love the fact that when running water late at night the pressure pump doesn’t kick in disturbing anyone’s asleep! Although simple to install we suggest you get this installed by a competent individual.

As a general guide if you have an onboard fresh water tank you will be able to upgrade to using a city water connection.
