Induction hobs are a fantastic investment for your mobile kitchen. They cook efficiently and are popular with off grid applications powered by battery through a suitably sized inverter. The CAN PI3050 measures 505mm x 300 and is just 60mm deep. You can fit a full-sized drawer directly underneath it! Ideal for tight galley installations in boats and motorhomes. It looks ‘residential’ and elegant in place. The black tempered ceramic glass looks clean and crisp. It cools quickly and is simple to wipe clean.
The controls are integrated into the ceramic tempered glass hob top. They are finger touch controls and the CAN PI3050 has a child lock button to stop you accidentally turning on the hob.
The cook top has a large 210mm cooking zone sitting alongside a smaller 145mm diameter one. The stove can in combination supply up to 2800 watts of cooking power. This will easily run off a U.K. standard 16amp campsite supply. You will only have to adapt your cooking style if your electricity supply is less than 10 amps. Just turn the hobs down a little to prevent tripping any power supply posts. But as anyone who cooks with induction knows you rarely use the power on maximum.
Many marine and mobile installations are seeing the advantages of going ‘gasless’. Saving weight and negating the need to fill up another fuel regularly. Not having any propane on board means, less servicing costs and the obvious safety bonus of not keeping a high-pressure fuel on board. It also means you do not need to get gas safety inspections on your new build.
