The Brunner Monsun comes with a generous 2-metre-long cable fitted with a standard 12volt UK plug (cigarette lighter socket). It has 2 heat settings and can give a maximum of 120 Watts. That is the maximum a standard 15amp 12volt socket runs at. Anything higher and you will be in danger or overloading your 12-volt circuitry.

The hairdryer has a shaped diffuser to concentrate its heat and fan power for the best drying performance within the electrical supply constraints. It has a cleverly folding handle which means the Monsun can fold flat and virtually square. CE marking is your guarantee this hairdryer has been built to EU quality electrical standards. We sell a lot of these despite inverter power becoming so cheap – which although may run a larger hairdryer the power consumption will ruin your batteries.

When using the hairdryer in your car start the engine to ensure you are charging your battery while you use it. If you are off grid camping you can plug it directly into a power centre (see our recommended products) and you can run it directly from a 12-volt battery.

Please note this is a low wattage 12-volt hairdryer do not expect a tornado of hot air equivalent to a Dyson! They can only draw just enough amperage through a standard 12volt socket – without tripping the fuse. Having said that they do work and are effective!  For maximum heat output ideally use with an in car 12V socket or a high power, fully charged leisure battery / powerpack.
