Tailgate Tent VW Caddy - Brunner Pilote

The Pilote tailgate tent by Brunner was introduced new in 2020 and is available in different sized frameless tailgate shelters specifically aimed at the VW market. This one is a perfect fit for the VW Caddy models with rear tailgates that lift vertically.

With this very well equipped tent, the interior of the Caddy is extended by a comfortable dining or storage space. The tent is attached to the tailgate of the vehicle with sturdy straps. In the lower area, the Pilote is tied tightly to the vehicle. The external mud flaps allow large amounts of water to run off. The front wall can be rolled up or erected as a sun canopy. The two large mesh windows on the right side of the tent and in the front wall allow very good airflow. Guy ropes and numerous guy lines give the tent a high degree of stability.

The real beauty of the design is the speed you can set it up and take it down means its great for occasional use or regular alike.

We supply the Brunner Pilote including the optional 2 door poles as standard. That means if you choose to sit underneath your tailgate tent the door can be pegged firmly ‘open’. (see the photographs) Ideal for parking your van up opposite a friend’s and sitting out into a chilly evening, socially distanced yet within earshot of each other. Especially if the British weather adds a little rain to the mix!

The Brunner Pilote is a good budget tailgate tent without any real competitors. We have sold a lot of these over the past year with very little returns so we are confident you will like it too!
